Odalys Dines,
I was born in Barranquilla Colombia and raised in Hudson County, NJ. I have a degree in Economics from Bryn Mawr College and a JD from Fordham University School of Law. Over the years, I have trained in Pilates, Barre and Zumba and got my certificates but didn’t commit to teaching. After a career in Corporate Law, I decided to become a hot pilates sculpt and hot yoga instructor. I trained at a hot studio where I teach hot. When I decided to join Prana Kinnelon, it was the first time I taught cold! So much fun and we still sweat!
Fun Fact 1: I was a participant in the first Marie Kondo training for KonMari consultants in the United States.
Fun Fact 2: I studied a semester abroad in Florence, Italy and I am a lover of Renaissance Art.

What is a challenge in your own yoga practice?
I teach a class called Sculpt with Pilates Moves. My biggest challenge has been finding the confidence within myself to love for my own body, in order to model that love and confidence to my students. I try to thank my students for showing up for themselves and that always makes me smile. Their consistency and enthusiasm inspires me.
What is something you’ve learned about yourself from teaching yoga?
Teaching fitness in general has taught me that my tone (my vibe) is not “too much.” I am proud that my students are motivated by my voice and that I don’t have to tone myself down or “watch” how I express myself.
What about teaching lights you up the most?
My students' joy when they are grooving to the music lights me up and I love seeing them smile after class. They give me energy. No matter how tired or what has happened in my day, when we are in class moving together my energy level spikes.
